Anna Sattler grew up in remote rural Alaska, in the villages of Tuntutuliak, Platinum, Bethel and Kwethluk. Through her Yup’ik heritage, she has family ties throughout rural Alaska, which contribute to the work she does as Community Liaison for Alaska Village Electric Cooperative and with her personal video and TV business featuring Alaska Native culture and cuisine; Anna's Alaska.
